This series of faceted rocky vessels were inspired by the rocks and caves in Ipoh, where I was born. Not too different from the quarries we still see in the west of Singapore. Alot of them are limestone and mountains. The raw beauty of nature always left me in awe. I can hear and smell the pitter patter of rain water hitting the inside of the caves when I hold these cups.
Each of them faceted by blistered hands, these rockies take a rather unexpextedly long time to complete because each cut and slice has to balance out the overall aesthetic.
